Discovery Park’s atrium featured a double-seal glass system that had begun to fail, compromising both aesthetics and weatherproofing. With high foot traffic below and surrounding offices fully operational, traditional scaffolding wasn’t a feasible option — the project demanded precision, safety, and minimal disruption.
Contracted by Discovery Park Management, our team engineered a bespoke abseil access plan, positioning expert teams on either side of the atrium to safely and efficiently remove and replace the glass panels, working in tandem with a specialist city crane due to the glass' excessive weight of over 150KG. Working at height, we carefully handled each double-seal unit, ensuring the structural integrity and long-term performance of the system.
