Large Scale Glazing Replacement
Specialist High Level Glazing was commissioned to deliver a complex large-format glass replacement project on a multi-storey commercial building in Central London. The scope required the safe removal of existing cappings, extraction of damaged glazed units, and installation of oversized templated glass panels — all at significant height.
With restricted ground access and tight site constraints, our team implemented a dual-access strategy.
Our IRATA-trained abseil technicians carried out the careful removal of external cappings and prepared the façade for replacement. Rope access allowed us to work efficiently with minimal disruption to the building’s operations, avoiding the need for full scaffolding.
For the installation phase, a large self-erecting tower crane was deployed to safely lift and position the bespoke templated glass units. Precision coordination between our ground crew, crane operator, and high-level installation team ensured each panel was manoeuvred and secured seamlessly.
